What your board gets

The jobs a volunteer board does every month

Every plan also includes elections, violation records, architectural requests, a vendor list, an opt-in resident directory, and meeting minutes.

Dues paid online

Residents pay by card or bank transfer through Stripe, or sign up for fixed monthly autopay. Each payment posts to the home's ledger as soon as Stripe confirms it.

One post reaches everyone

Write an announcement once. Residents see it when they log in, and it goes to their inbox once email is turned on.

Requests that don't get lost

A resident reports a broken gate with a photo. The board moves it from submitted to completed, and the resident sees every status change.

No more double-booked clubhouse

Residents see open times and book the pool, clubhouse, or court. The database refuses overlapping reservations.

Bylaws people can find

CC&Rs, bylaws, minutes, and forms live in one list. Private files need a login; the board picks which ones anyone can see.

A community website you control

Build up to 20 public or members-only pages with text, photos, and a menu, in your community's colors. It goes live at yourhoa.joinourhoa.com.

Answers from your own documents

On Pro and Premium, a resident asks "Can I put up a fence?" and gets an answer drawn from the PDFs and rules your board uploads, with the page cited. On Pro and Premium the board can also read scanned PDFs with AI text recognition.

Board deadlines on one calendar

Reference checklists for California, Florida, and Texas, plus a shared calendar for annual meetings, budgets, and filings.

Neighbors can message each other

Residents message neighbors who list themselves in the directory, or write to the whole board at once. The board can't read private conversations. A bell shows new messages, votes, receipts, and request updates, with an optional email digest.

Paid plans bill every home, including the first 25. Stripe processing fees on dues payments are separate.

Payment collection requires payout setup through Stripe. Processing fees are separate from the software price and come out of the association's deposit: a $300 ACH payment costs $2.40, and a $300 card payment costs $9.00. See the terms for the full fee schedule.

Questions boards ask

Frequently asked questions

Is our community's data secure?

Each community's records are separated by row-level security in Postgres, so one HOA's users cannot read another HOA's data. Documents and request photos sit in private storage and open through short-lived signed links. Stripe handles card and bank details; OurHOA never stores card numbers. Residents cannot see board-only records. The security page has the details.

Can we get our data out if we leave?

Yes. A board member can download all community data as a ZIP of CSV files from Community settings, on any plan, at any time. The dues ledger also exports to CSV from the Finances page.

Some of our residents pay by check. Does that work?

Yes. A board member or manager can record a received check or cash payment in Finances, with the home, amount, received date, and check or receipt reference. The entry credits the household ledger and records who entered it. Mistakes and returned checks can be reversed without deleting the original record. This does not deposit checks, reconcile the bank account, or cancel a resident's scheduled autopay.

Our treasurer isn't technical. Can they run it?

The board side is forms and lists. Setup means adding your homes, inviting residents by email, and filling in Stripe's verification form to accept payments. Your treasurer can click through the board view in the live demo first, without creating an account.

What does it cost for a 60-home HOA?

Free covers up to 25 homes, so a 60-home HOA needs a paid plan. Pro is $60 a month (60 homes x $1) and Premium is $120 a month (60 homes x $2). Paid plans bill every home, including the first 25. Stripe fees on dues payments are separate: cards 2.9% + 30 cents, ACH bank payments 0.8% capped at $5.

What happens if we stop paying for Pro or Premium?

Paid access runs to the end of the period you paid for, then the community moves to Free. Every existing home, resident, and record stays, and everyone keeps the non-AI tools. Two things stop: you cannot add homes beyond 25, and the AI helper and meeting drafts turn off.

Who is behind OurHOA?

A small independent team. OurHOA is software, not a management company. Questions go to [email protected].

Plan your move

Moving from another platform? Plan the handover.

Check which records can be transferred, how balances will be verified, and who will handle the work before setting a changeover date.

Keep a complete export from your current service. Confirm migration scope, costs, and timing before cancelling it.

  1. 1

    Inventory your records

List your homes, member records, balances, documents, and website pages. Check what your current provider can export.

  2. 2

    Confirm the transfer plan

Agree on supported formats, responsibilities, costs, and timing. Automated import and a fixed turnaround are not currently available.

  3. 3

    Verify before switching

Reconcile balances and compare record counts and sample documents. Keep your original exports and confirm access before retiring the old service.
